A small gap....

First of all........many apologies for the dire lack of blogging this past 3 weeks! Although I do feel bad, I guess this illustrates a good point about the medical course-its hectic! I've literally had no time to write a blog in all this time! In the last 3 weeks I think I've sat down in my house for no longer than 20 minutes at a time! Most of my time at the moment is being taken up by the medics play which I auditioned for just after my last post, got a part in, and now have to attend many long rehearsals for! It is lots of fun, no doubt about that, but very time consuming! Once again the tricky art of balancing work with the more *enjoyable* aspects of uni life is proving to be a hard task! I think I'm doing a good job though, I'm keeping up to date with as much of my work as I can. The main thing that takes up my time academically is preparing for anatomy each week, and that sometimes means I tend to neglect other areas of the course (especially the Kidney course which I'm not a personal fan of...oh yeah and histology which is my least favorite subject ON EARTH!!!)...don't worry its not that bad really...some people really enjoy it :-) Next semester at Nottingham we get to choose some modules, instead of everything being compulsory we can decide to take up 20 credits worth of a set of 5 different modules, ranging from biochemistry (shudder) to microbiology and embryology! I handed my form in on time so hopefully ill get the module I want! Tonight is another legendary Nottingham tradition....a seven legged pub crawl! Its run by Karni (a university charity) and its fancy dress themed......my team is going as comic book characters so I have to finish this post now as I have to dash into town to get a costume!
