Almost ready for clinicals!

Finally after two and a half years of sleeping in lectures we're about to kick off on the clinical phase of the course! More importantly, I finally get to use that expensive steth that everyone buys in their first year and hardly ever uses until now!

Since my last post I have had a week of holiday and then I came back to Notts to study very hard for two weeks for a big exam called 'Antimicrobial Chemotherapy'. Basically this exam is all about how to treat bugs! So, antibiotics, antivirals and antifungals to name a few! It is the most clinical thing we've studied so far and so it was really fun. Seriously intense though! We had 30 lectures over 10 days and then an exam right after! But thankfully that's all over now!

The final thing I have to do before we start the clinical course is a viva exam about my thesis (which i handed in in jan). A viva is an oral exam, so for about 40 mins I will get quizzed on my project, why I did etc. I think they're meant to make sure you actually wrote the thing you handed in and know what your talking about. I'm dreading it a bit. I havn't read my thesis since i handed it in a month ago so I cant really remember it very well. I tried to read it before writing this, it just didnt seem so boring when I was writing it back in January! oh dear....
